The Platform 3 Bike Light Complete (part 293053) is the genuine Holdfast replacement rear light unit for the three bike configuration of the Holdfast Platform tow ball carrier range. It is supplied as a complete assembly rather than as loose lenses or wiring, so a damaged light board is replaced in one part.
Holdfast supplies this light unit in two versions and they are not interchangeable. This is the three bike unit. The two bike version is part 293052. The carrier decides which one you need, so check the bike capacity of your carrier before ordering rather than ordering by appearance.
A loaded tow ball carrier sits behind the vehicle’s own lights and number plate, so the carrier’s light unit is what following traffic actually sees. A unit with water ingress, a cracked lens or a failed circuit is not a cosmetic problem. Replace it if the lenses are cracked or crazed, if any function has stopped working, if the loom is chafed or the connector is corroded, or if moisture has collected inside the housing.
