The Holdfast Clamping Kit 171860 is the vehicle-specific clamping component of the Holdfast (SR) Wingbar Roof Rack Kit for the Honda CR-V (2012-2016) and Honda Civic (2005-2012). It is the part that actually anchors the rack to the car, and it is matched to a single door-frame profile – which is why Holdfast supplies a separate part number for each vehicle rather than one universal clamp.
(SR) denotes a standard or bare roof: a vehicle with no rain gutters and no factory-fitted roof rails. On these cars there is nothing on the roof to bolt to, so the foot pack clamps into the door frame instead. The clamping kit provides the shaped clamps and fixings that grip that door aperture, transferring the load of the bars and your cargo into the strongest part of the body shell.
This clamping kit is shared across two Honda fitments: the CR-V (2012-2016) and the Civic (2005-2012). Both use the same door-frame clamp, so a single part number covers them. It does not carry over to other Honda models or to other model years.
