Soft Rack

The Holdfast Soft Rack is the easiest way to add roof-rack capability to any car — no rails, no drilling, no permanent hardware. It straps on in minutes, carries boards and kayaks, then packs away into the boot when you’re done.

When to Choose a Soft Rack

A soft rack is the ideal choice if you:

• Drive a hatchback, sedan or small SUV without factory roof rails
• Only carry gear occasionally — a weekend surf trip or family kayak day
• Need a rack that fits multiple cars (great for hire cars and rotating family vehicles)
• Want something lightweight and affordable as a secondary system

Features & Specifications

• Universal fitment: wraps around the roof of virtually any car with doors that close normally
• Twin padded bars: foam core protects paintwork and grips your load
• Heavy-duty tie-down straps: included Holdfast straps secure boards, kayaks and SUPs
• Protective flaps: shield your paintwork from scratches where the rack and straps sit
• Compact storage: folds flat — store in the boot between trips

Typical Loads

Surfboards, bodyboards, stand-up paddleboards, kayaks and canoes all mount comfortably. For kayaks, pair the Soft Rack with our Kayak Cradle or Cam Straps for front and rear tie-downs.
