CLAMPING KIT – 172240

The Holdfast Clamping Kit 172240 is the vehicle-specific clamping component of the Holdfast (SR) Wingbar Roof Rack Kit for the Nissan Micra (2017-2022). It is the part that actually anchors the rack to the car, and it is matched to a single door-frame profile – which is why Holdfast supplies a separate part number for each vehicle rather than one universal clamp.

What an (SR) Clamping Kit Does

(SR) denotes a standard or bare roof: a vehicle with no rain gutters and no factory-fitted roof rails. On these cars there is nothing on the roof to bolt to, so the foot pack clamps into the door frame instead. The clamping kit provides the shaped clamps and fixings that grip that door aperture, transferring the load of the bars and your cargo into the strongest part of the body shell.

Fitment

• Part number: 172240
• Vehicle application: Nissan Micra (2017-2022)
• Roof type: (SR) standard roof – no gutters, no factory rails
• Sold as: One clamping kit

This kit is specific to the 2017-2022 Nissan Micra. Earlier Micra generations use a different door-frame profile and take a different clamping kit.

How It Fits Into the Complete Kit

Bought as a complete roof rack, this clamping kit ships together with a Phoenix II Foot Pack Gutterless and a set of Phoenix Wingbar 1.27m bars as the Nissan Micra (2017-2022) Holdfast (SR) Wingbar Roof Rack Kit. If you already own the foot pack and bars and only need the clamping hardware – after a vehicle change, or to replace clamps that have been lost or damaged – this is the part to order on its own.

Ordering the Right Kit

Clamping kits are not interchangeable between models, and the part number is the only reliable way to identify one. Check the number stamped on your existing clamps before ordering, or use Find Your Fit to confirm the correct rack for your vehicle. You can browse the full range on the Holdfast roof racks page.
